We met in high school...
Shelby and Brody met during their senior year of high school. Shelby had just transferred from her school in Virginia and was very nervous to be starting her senior year with all new people. Although they had many classes together, they really met for the first time at an after party for the first football game of the year. Brody approached Shelby and sat with her all night just talking. They continued hanging out during the fall of that year and even went to homecoming together. After trying to cool it off for a few months because they knew they would be going to college on opposite sides of the country, the two could not fight feelings for each other any longer and officially got together in March of 2016.

Brody planned a scavenger hunt at Disneyland with seventeen of their friends. It started out with just being a normal day at Disneyland. As soon as they entered the park, Brody “went to the bathroom.” This is when the first friend approached Shelby for the start of the hunt! Shelby had to make her way through main street answering a series of riddles and questions. The final clue lead Shelby straight to the castle where Brody was waiting to propose.
